I don't think you can display one blog post if you want to do that than you can just copy and paste the content into a note and post it that way.

I'd prefer adding them in my friend list instead of creating a fan page on my blog. Unless my friend list is full (5k) I wont use the fan page

@Kushal

I think facebook pages are great. I however haven't found a good way to interact with my facebook fans. They join and then forget about it. One other thing I don't like is that you are not notified of when a new member joins so you cannot welcome them properly. You can see that your member numbers are higher but you cannot see who is the new member unless you search through the fans. A simple notification like "john doe just joined your page" would be nice

hmmmm...that is a great idea. I think I may post something on facebook to encourage people to write on the wall or share in the conversation or something. I've never tried that before with my fan pages.

My goal after this week is to get my wordpress sites optimized and have a community built around it. I seem to have a buzz about the site but it's hard to get people to come on the site a nd share conversation.
If the fan pages would send updates to their inbox the way facebook groups do it would be great. I don't know why they changed it when they rolled out the fan pages. Oh well, it's impossible to suggest things to them anyway.

Instead of looking as simply as a tool to collect readers to another group, you can use the fan page to have closer and more relationship with your readers. It is because in our blog, the discussions tend to be around the topic that we are blogging about only.

However I do agree about how new notification is given to the fans. There is better way that can be used.

We use a facebook page for our blog. I'm not sure if it adds more value to the blog besides just adding readers to another group. I don't like the fact that facebook page updates don't go directly into fans inboxes but into a category in the inbox called updates which is rarely ever checked by casual facebook users. The actual inbox would be more effective.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. I'm looking to do something similar, but would like to only display one blog post, not an entire feed, on a Facebook Fan page.

Do you know how I can display one blog post?
