I agree that Facebook Notes screw up the post how it was intended on the blog itself. That's why I make use of the "RSS Graffiti" import plugin for Facebook. I use this plugin, because I can import multiple blogs to my profile or my pages with a lot a settings available. This makes it possible to import all the stuff I write to my main FB account and the topic-related pages only display the RSS' I've setup for them to show.

The downside still remains the comments I receive on articles on FB, are not displayed on my blogs, which is still a very much wanted functionality.

Not unless u have a good stream of visitors from search engines, I dont think Facebook notes would help your blog to get more readers. Suffice to just post a link to your blogpost on Facebook wall.

I have experienced this. People get used to reading your facebook notes and have no reason to visit your site at all.

I'm waiting for an improved version of this. How great would it be if we post a link from out blog to Facebook, and those comments on the link would be loaded to our Wordpress blog.

The downside when posting a note on Facebook is that you don't get traffic to your blog.

That's a loss if traffic to your blog = money.

One thing I think could be added to the plug in is importing the commenter's picture. I don't know if that's possible but it would be nice. You have to manually add a picture to the imported comments. It does import the facebook users link to their profile link.
