How To Import Back Comments In Facebook Into WordPress Blog?

In the previous post, I have shared a detailed tutorial on how can you import your WordPress blog’s latest post to your Facebook’s wall for you to share with your friends. Personally, it is a great way to have quality incoming traffics and bring more exposure to our blog post to greater extent.

Comments in Facebook?

Comments are important for blogs – it is the blood. By failing to integrate our WordPress blog and Facebook well enough to let any comments in Facebook to appear in our WordPress blog, it would be a waste for us.

It is because well commented blog will definitely give great first impression and great environment for our blog.

Facebook Comments

Due to this fact, a plugin – Facebook Comments TNG has been developed. With this plugin, it will import comments from your Facebook notes back into your WordPress blog. Therefore, you can reconcile back the comments that you received in both platforms.

If you are looking this kind of plugin and want to know more about it, you can head to the plugin’s site through below link:

What is my take?

However, as for me, I still prefer to use the Facebook button to share my latest blog post to my friend which they still have to go to this blog to read the full blog post.

It is because I find that the post that is being imported to Facebook through Notes application do not look good in terms of type and size font that is being used and its structure. It looks really boring.

How about you?

What do you think about this plugin? Is it practical for our WordPress blog? Which method do you prefer – use Facebook’s notes application or Facebook button to share your latest blog post?

Feel free to share your thoughts and says. It would be great to have them over here.

I will make specific post for it 😉

I am going to try this. I have always been frustrated because I get way more comments on my imported notes in facebook than I do on my site. Unfortunately people think you actually wrote the post on facebook and never go to the site either. I have also noticed that facebook won’t import crucial things in the blog post like media players and things. If this works I am going to import the comments then go to facebook and stop importing the notes altogether.

I just added this to my site. It was very fast and easy. The most exciting part is that it brought in all of the comments from every note ever imported. I’m glad these conversations can be viewed on my site now since old notes seem to get lost in facebook.
    Thanks again.

Wow, it really looks better. Definetly gonna get this one for my blog by the way do many blogs use this feature.

One thing I think could be added to the plug in is importing the commenter’s picture. I don’t know if that’s possible but it would be nice. You have to manually add a picture to the imported comments. It does import the facebook users link to their profile link.

The downside when posting a note on Facebook is that you don’t get traffic to your blog.

That’s a loss if traffic to your blog = money.

I’m waiting for an improved version of this. How great would it be if we post a link from out blog to Facebook, and those comments on the link would be loaded to our WordPress blog.

  12. Mike says:

I have experienced this. People get used to reading your facebook notes and have no reason to visit your site at all.

  13. ariff says:

Not unless u have a good stream of visitors from search engines, I dont think Facebook notes would help your blog to get more readers. Suffice to just post a link to your blogpost on Facebook wall.

  14. Kushal Chap says:

This looks interesting. Will have to look into it further.

  15. Kushal Chap says:

    Interesting point you bring up.

  16. Mike says:

@ariff, that would be amazing. I get lots of comments on links that I post.

  17. ariff says:

Yeah. I really love comments on my blog, but getting one sometimes seems like a tough job.

I agree that Facebook Notes screw up the post how it was intended on the blog itself. That’s why I make use of the “RSS Graffiti” import plugin for Facebook. I use this plugin, because I can import multiple blogs to my profile or my pages with a lot a settings available. This makes it possible to import all the stuff I write to my main FB account and the topic-related pages only display the RSS’ I’ve setup for them to show.

The downside still remains the comments I receive on articles on FB, are not displayed on my blogs, which is still a very much wanted functionality.
