Very nice round-up of some very professional-looking free themes! I’m pretty happy with the one I won late last year, but I may try some of these; maybe one will work better on my other blog than the one I’ve got.

Hi Holly!
It is great to have you in Huzzer Magazine. Hope you find it great over here.
Yah, the themes above totally have great designs. What we need simply some efforts to look for it as sometimes, some of great free themes maybe get less attention that others.
Cheers!

Nice collection, but then again most of the themes does not support large leaderboard ad banners. That’s what disappoints me most of the time.

Mike @videobible
Ariff, what is a large leaderboard ad banner?
February 25 2010 08:13 am
Mike @videobible
Just as a warning newspress doesn't support IE6 or IE7. You could potentially lose some readers if you use it.

Mike @videobible
Nevermind Ariff, I clicked through to your site and I see a large banner ad on the very top of your site. That must be what you are reffering to. Do you get that many clicks from it that it is that necessary? I am curious.

Everyone seems to like garamond. I admit it is very clean. Question: These themes like garamond that have two sidebars. Is it easy to get rid of one of the sidebars so that my opt in form would fit?

@ariff You could always add it yourself. Maybe there is a plugin for that.

@Mike I am also guilty of liking garamond p) but Webfolio is still my favorite.

Yeah I like garamond as well. I almost switched to it but I didn't see that much support for it so I switched to aparatus. It is truly a beautiful theme.

LArge leaderboard banner?
Check out my blog. THe first thing you see on the ad banner. Most themes don't provide a slot for that and I have to add it manually.

Sorry I meant to say the navigation style. It doesn't look professional to me.

My favorite theme is the Webfolio. Like the cool style.

I’ll have to look into webfolio. I like the aparatus. I just wish I knew how to tweak it a little. Also it comes very heavily with twitter applications. It forces me to be more active with twitter as I probably should anyway.
