it would be very ridiculous for a web design company to use one. It would kind of be like a photographer putting other peoples images on their site.

Agree with @ariff on this one. If you cant even design your own site then how can you do it for someone else but it could be used by photographers, and others who are just into photoshop.

For freelance web designers, I guess it’s a bit ironic if they use all these themes. For heaven’s sake, they design websites!! It’s expected and required that they create their own websites too just to show that they are capable.
